Operations – Giavapps Amplitude

 

Dragging Operations

 
Left Mouse Button You can edit Amplitude Values of the Selected Samples by holding and dragging the Left Mouse Button. Then you can drop the button for applying modifications. This function allows changing the Amplitude Sign if Keep Same Polarity property is disabled. This function uses Proportional Scaling algorithm if Proportional Scaling property is enabled. This function operates only on the selected channel if Edit Both Channels property is disabled.
 

Operations with Amplitudes

 
Giavapps Amplitude has several operations that you can apply to Selected Samples.
 
Right Click on your selection and then choose one of the following operation.
 
Reset (Backspace) Resets the Amplitude Value of the Selected Samples to their Original Amplitude Value. This function operates only on the selected channel if Edit Both Channels property is disabled.
 
Copy (Ctrl+C) Copies the Selected Samples to the memory. This function operates only on the selected channel if Edit Both Channels property is disabled.
 
Paste (Ctrl+V) Pastes the Copied Samples starting from the first Selected Sample. This function operates only on the selected channel if Edit Both Channels property is disabled.
 
Duplicate (Ctrl+D) Duplicates the Selected Samples starting from the end of the selection. This function operates only on the selected channel if Edit Both Channels property is disabled.
 
Match With Copied (Relative) (Ctrl+M) Matches the Amplitude Value of the Selected Samples with the Amplitude Value of the Copied Sample by using the Relative Algorithm. This function allows changing the Amplitude Sign if Keep Same Polarity property is disabled. This function uses Proportional Scaling algorithm if Proportional Scaling property is enabled. This function operates only on the selected channel if Edit Both Channels property is disabled.
 
Match With Copied (Absolute) (Ctrl+Shift+M) Matches the Amplitude Value of the Selected Samples with the Amplitude Value of the Copied Sample by using the Absolute Algorithm. This function allows changing the Amplitude Sign if Keep Same Polarity property is disabled. This function operates only on the selected channel if Edit Both Channels property is disabled.
 
Limit With Copied (Relative) (Ctrl+L) Limits the Amplitude Value of the Selected Samples to the Amplitude Value of the Copied Sample by using the Relative Algorithm. This function operates only on the selected channel if Edit Both Channels property is disabled.
 
Limit With Copied (Absolute) (Ctrl+Shift+L) Limits the Amplitude Value of the Selected Samples to the Amplitude Value of the Copied Sample by using the Absolute Algorithm. This function operates only on the selected channel if Edit Both Channels property is disabled.
 
Silence (Delete) Sets the Amplitude Value of the Selected Samples to 0. This function operates only on the selected channel if Edit Both Channels property is disabled.
 
Marker (Ctrl+K) Creates a new Marker with the same Amplitude Value of the Selected Sample.
 

Operations with Selections

 
Giavapps Amplitude supports also several Operations with Selections.
 
Select Positive (Ctrl++) Selects Samples with a Positive Amplitude Value.
 
Select Negative (Ctrl+-) Selects Samples with a Negative Amplitude Value.
 
Select Silence (Ctrl+Delete) Selects Samples with an Amplitude Value equal to 0.
 
Select Unmodified (Ctrl+U) Selects Unmodified Samples.
 
Select Modified (Ctrl+F) Selects Modified Samples.
 
Select As Copied (Ctrl+P) Selects Samples with the same Amplitude Value of the Copied Sample.
 
Select All (Ctrl+A) Selects all Samples of the Audio File.
 
Deselect Positive (Ctrl+Shift++) Deselects Samples with a Positive Amplitude Value.
 
Deselect Negative (Ctrl+Shift+-) Deselects Samples with a Negative Amplitude Value.
 
Deselect Silence (Ctrl+Shift+Delete) Deselects Samples with an Amplitude Value equal to 0.
 
Deselect Unmodified (Ctrl+Shift+U) Deselects Unmodified Samples.
 
Deselect Modified (Ctrl+Shift+F) Deselects Modified Samples.
 
Deselect As Copied (Ctrl+Shift+P) Deselects Samples with the same Amplitude Value of the Copied Sample.
 
Deselect All (Escape) Deselects all Samples of the Audio File.
 

Properties

 
The following Properties affect the Operations.
 
Keep Same Polarity Enables or disables Keep Same Polarity property.
 
Proportional Scaling Enables or disables Proportional Scaling property.
 
Edit Both Channels Enables or disables Edit Both Channels property.
